Paper and Inks
The selection of a paper is a very personal and artistic decision. Only you can determine what type of paper best conveys your vision, there are no hard and fast rules for any given image.  If you are unsure what type of paper to use we can make a suitable time to meet to discuss your images and review samples of different papers. If you have a particular favorite paper in mind then no problems I can make a colour profile for your paper and optimise the printer settings to get the very best prints for you.

Epson UltraChrome K3 inks

Permanence
The giclee printing process is guaranteed by the manufacturers of the ink and the paper to make archival prints capable of lasting more than 100 years and are popular with contemporary artists, museums and collectors as a way of making exhibition prints from digital files.

Colour Management
To get the best colour accuracy and tonal graduation I make custom ICC color profiles for my printers with the specific papers and ink described above.  If you are comfortable in using soft proofing I can provide you these ICC profiles so  you can see the effect of the print process on your image using a program such as Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom.

I recently had Stuart print 24 images for me on Canson Barytra prestige paper, unique paper and unique images, challenging to get the best out of the paper and the files. I had no hesitation asking Stuart to print these images, I knew he was the right choice, he gave everyone of the images the care he would have if these were his own work. To say I was happy with the final result is an understatement, I was ecstatic with the final result and in the near future I will be asking him to print 50 prints for an upcoming exhibition, if you want quality custom printing Stuart is the right choice. –Scott Fowler EFIAP, FPSNZ, PPSA, SPSA

Stuart’s attention to detail and personal approach to printing my images was first class. When printing my PSNZ Associateship portfolio I was very grateful to have Stuart’s help; his knowledge and experience with different papers and the finish that could be achieved with them enabled me to fully realise the presentation style I was looking for in my images.
